The Journey Ahead

Hi there my name is Kyle, and I want to share with you what goes on from my perspective when I go to write a paper or really anything. Before I do though, think some backstory is needed. I have had a lot of bumps in the road, especially growing up. My parents worked really hard, but weren’t very good at balancing finances, so while I had a roof over my head and food in my stomach, at times, that food was really creative. (ham and beans with LOTS OF WATER.) Anyway one of the things that got drilled into my head was to always do good in school and to do better than what I had so my kids could have better. As a parent now I understood where my parents were coming from. I want to succeed, and that means being successful, but sometimes being successful, means you need to be able to stop and ask questions and help also. Recently, I really needed some help grasping an idea, so I asked for help and boy did it really help me. The first thing that I did was to scrap what I had, and start brand new. Whenever I start something, I really dive in, I put 100% in, because I want it to be really good, and really detailed, like in writing. Whenever I write, I usually talk to myself in my head as I’m writing. not the crazy type of talking to myself.

Lol, but like how it sounds and does it make sense, this is what I do first. I will generally make a brainstorm and freewriting type of rough draft. then as I’m typing, I’ll begin to introduce new ideas and I will compare how it sounds to how I’m writing. Does this link up with this, does this make sense to me, can I make it better. This will keep happening until I have a paper I’m happy with. So while I may only have one paper physically, mentally I will have like 5 or 6. Because of all of the rough drafting, editing, screening, etc.. that I’m doing while I’m writing, but I always start with brainstorming and freewriting, I need to do this to kind of get all of the silly ideas out of my head until I can focus in. So yeah, that is a little bit about me and what I do when I start to write.
